Energy Audits

Our audit consists of checking all conditioned areas of the home for air infiltration. How this works is we de-pressurize the home and find all areas of infiltration within the home's envelope. We can also measure the rate at which you are losing your energy and offer solutions so we can stop the amount of air getting into your home. We are also able to determine problems with duct work, and heating and cooling appliances. You will find out the efficiency of your heating unit, and whether or not it is time to upgrade. We also check the balance of forced air systems. You will find out how your house matches up against other homes and their energy consumption. All insulation levels will be evaluated and recommendations will be made on how to make your home more energy efficient. The cost of this service is $350.00, but if you use our company to remedy any of the problems this is taken off of the total investment. Even if you do not do business with our company you will find things out about your home you never knew that will save you well over $350.00.

Attic Insulation

Energy Advisors has trained installers and takes pride in using the most up-to-date products and current installation techniques. We are not your average insulation company. Our product is guaranteed not to settle as long as you own the home. We do not fill your eaves with insulation, this way you won't lose your roof. We custom-make covers for attic access, allow for storage, and seal all recessed lights. Our product is GreenGuard certified for schools as well. It is a minimum of 35% recycled and has no added chemicals to make it fire retardant, or mold and mildew resistant. Basement Insulation

This is easy, you just put insulation on the wall. Sure if you want mold, it does not really matter which way the paper is facing does it, YES! Wait should it even have paper, do they make it without paper? Do I really need it? Crawl Space Insulation

Crawl spaces are tricky little areas. Yes, we know your feet get cold in the room above your crawl space and you are not sure whether or not to leave the vents open, or if you need vents at all. We have the training to determine all this. We also know that every situation is not the same and just using standard insulation is not the answer. Solar Attic Fan

When the temperature goes up and you turn on the air you will feel good knowing you have a solar attic fan saving you up to 30% of your cooling cost. These are typically installed near the ridge vent and improves your existing ventilation. Attic temperatures can reach an amazing 150 °F, remember water boils at 212 °F. Exhausting that hot air stops it from reaching you in your living area.

Air Sealing

There are few consumers who know anything about air sealing. Air leakage can result in more than 20% of your home's energy losses. This is more than any window could ever lose. We take a whole house approach and find out where there is air coming in and the effect it may be having. Is is causing your roof to break down quickly? Is it putting mold in your basement?
